Confetti Chocolate Chip Dip

I’m all about easy when it comes to entertaining. So, naturally, this easy-to-make dip and I get along verrrry well. With just four ingredients and a 100% likelihood of being a huge hit, it is my go-to sweet thing when I am headed to a BBQ or planning a get-together at our place.

Cream cheese, whipped topping, and chocolate chips make for a sweet and creamy treat just begging for a swipe with a strawberry, cookie, graham cracker, or – yep – a finger. The sprinkles? They’re pretty and fun and my fave blogger pal, Sally, has proven time and again what I’ve always believed — that sprinkles make everything better 🙂

Confetti Chocolate Chip Dip
Makes ~ 2 cups

8 oz. whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
6 oz. whipped cream cheese
3/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Rainbow sprinkles

In a microwave safe bowl, soften the cream cheese just slightly (about 20 seconds on High). Add whipped topping and stir with large spoon or whisk until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and a handful of sprinkles.  Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Serve alongside dipping items like strawberries, melon, apples, Teddy Grahams, chocolate wafers, or pretzels.

EASY. SIMPLE. CHOMPALICIOUS.

I modified this with yogurt, less cool whip. Greek would be even better

Sounds yummy. I have made one with cream cheese and marshmallow fluff. BTW your pictures alone make me want a bite.

Wow – I never thought I would see those words in print. About anything I cook!

I’ll have to try that one; I do one with French vanilla yogurt, pureed frozen strawberries and cool whip. Amounts don’t matter much as long as it turns out pink! Also yummy.
