Saint Patrick’s Day Recipe Round-up

Saint Patrick’s Day is coming. Quick, what are you making? I don’t even know myself. Maybe a Saint Patrick’s Day recipe from the round-up below will do it.

It doesn’t have to be complicated, like this incredible rainbow layer cake. I’m still in awe of my friend who made it, and always wonder what she’ll do to top it the next time!
Rainbow Cake Steph -- Juggling With JuliaI’ve rounded up some possible candidates for us to consider, so no one has to suffer the embarrassment of showing up unprepared to a feast.

Each Saint Patrick’s Day recipe below falls into one of the 3 main Irish food categories:

Beer.
Potatoes.
Something Green.

Perhaps with a little luck o’ the Irish, you’ll find something you like here! Click on the titles to get to the recipes.

Guinness Slow-cooked Barbecued Brisket

Anything Guinness is an obvious choice. Allow me to introduce you to the most delicious slow-cooked beef ever made. Brisket (or pot roast, if you’d rather use that cut) becomes fall-apart tender, and is completely saturated in a savory, robust broth seasoned with smoked paprika, garlic, brown sugar, and tomato. Guinness Slow-cooked Barbecue Brisket -- Juggling With Julia
Cheddar Onion Beer Bread

Bits of sautéed onion dot this moist, savory bread. Truly delectable and not at all intimidating to make.

Irish Potato Leek Soup

Truly the simplest of soups.

Kale Chips

As green as the day is long. Lightly crispy and delicate, seasoned only with salt and pepper.

Rosemary Thyme Roasted Potatoes

A wee bit fancier than everyday potatoes. Aromatic and delicious.

Slow-Cooked Beef Stew

The ultimate in comfort. Beef, potatoes, and carrots and a rich gravy.

Chicken Burgers with Smoky Beer Cheese Sauce

Regular ol’ burgers will never satisfy again, after you’ve eaten a burger smothered in this smoky beer cheese sauce!

Spinach Walnut Pesto

Nothing says I’M GREEN better than pesto. This spinach-walnut version is packed with nutrients, flavor, and color. Triple threat!

Oven-Roasted Potato Chips

Slice, oil, roast, and eat. Couldn’t be simpler. Or more delicious.
